Delhomme might Stayhomme

After suffering from a sprained thumb in last Sunday's game against the Philidelphia Eagles, The Carolina Panthers Quarterback, Jake Delhomme, has missed 2 consecutive days of practice. Rest is needed If Delhomme intends to keep his attendace up. Thus far he has started 59 consecutive games and Coach John Fox would love to see him this Sunday against the New York Giants, who's defense is doing great this year. When asked about the treatment he was receiving for his injury, Delhomme described it as being a guinea pig. Ice is being applied regularly and the several different machines in the training room are being used liberally. Chris Weinke is ready to step up if Jake cannot make Sunday's game against the Giants stating "I have been in this offense for 5 years now.
